RU BCL leaders beat up two hall employees

Two leaders of Rajshahi University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League beat up two employees separately on Friday night over trifle matters.
The two injured employees were identified as Fariduzzaman, an employee of Motihar Hall games room and Swapan Sarker, a laundry man of Sher-e-Bangla Hall.
Witnesses and BCL insiders sources said, RU unit BCL Organising Secretary Abu Salim Tushar, a resident student of Shah Mukhdum hall, but residing at Sher-e-Bangla Halll illegally, beat up games room employee over a trifle matter.
Fariduzzaman alleged while Tushar started to play Carom at 9:00pm, I requested him not to play carom in Motihar hall because the resident students could not chance to play here due to small one. He used to play here regularly.
Many students sometimes made oral complaint for this.
At one stage of altercation, being furious, then Tushar started to slap me and later he hurled a brick at my head with bricks.
Denying the allegation, Tushar said, while I asked to clean the games room, because it was so dirty, he reacted and attempted to beat me. I just deter him.
Later, he threatened the hall Provost Prof Jahangir Alam Saud for dire consequence saying the hall provost did not work ‘properly’ in the hall.
Contacted, Prof Jahangir told that it is a matter of regret that a student, even who himself, not a student of my hall threatened me for dire consequence and hurled abusive language for requesting him not to play hall’s game room.
He also severely beat up the employee Fariduzzaman.
‘We have filed a complaint to the university Registrar yesterday seeking remedy in this regard’, he added.
Meanwhile, RU unit BCL deputy office secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Shimul beat up Sher-e-Bangla hall laundry man Swapan Sarker for not calendaring his clothes due to his illness.
