Admission test for first year honours courses under 2014-15 session of Rajshahi University will begin on October 19, said a press release of the university on Tuesday. The test will be continued till October 25.
The decision came through a meeting of admission sub-committee chaired by RU vice chancellor Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin..
The admission seekers are asked to visit www.ru.ac.bd for details. Meanwhile, RU authority has launched two separate departments, International Relations (RU) and Banking and Insurance. This year, the students could be eligible to get admission these two departments.
VU gets new Pro-VC
Prof Dr Nurul Hossain of History department of Rajshahi Universty was made pro-vice chancellor of Varendra University (VU) for four years, said a press release of the university.
The chancellor of the univerisity and also President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid gave the appointment yesterday according to section 32 (1) of Private Univerisity Act-2010. Prof Nurul Hossain was serving as acting Pro-VC of VU since November 16 last year. He served as teachers of RU since 42 years.
He was also the chairman of History department of RU.
