The authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) on Tuesday accorded reception to the freshers, first year students of 2017-2018 academic session, amid much enthusiasm and festivity. RU Vice-Chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan addressed the reception programme held at Kazi Nazrul Islam auditorium as the chief guest while pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Ananda Kumar Saha was in the chair. Student’s adviser Prof Zannatul Ferdous delivered a welcome speech at the beginning of the programme while registrar Prof MA Bari moderated it. Among others, public relation office administrator Prof Probhash Kumar Karmakar, proctor Prof Lutfor Rahman and treasurer Prof AKM Mustafizur Rahman were present at the programme.
On behalf of the freshers, Shuvo Biswas of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology department and Quantum Koiborto of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department spoke at the programme.
