Speakers of Rotary District Conference urged to peoples of the country to come forward beside the distressed people. They said it at the opening sessions of two days central conference of Rotary International Bangladesh District 3281 held on Friday at Mirpur Police Convention Center in the city.
Representative of International Rotary President & former Rotary Governor of India Rupak Jain was present as the chief guest in the inaugural ceremony. Captain Shahab Uddin Ahmed (Retd.) Bir Uttom, Captain Akram Ahmed (Retd.) Bir Uttom was present as special guest. Muhammad Ayub, Governor of Bangladesh Rotary, Salim Reza, Coordinator, Rafiq Ahmed Siddique, RRFC, Zainul Abedin, District Trainer, Md. Hafiz Ullah, DRFCC, Ghulam Mustafa, DGSC, FH Arif, Governor Elect; AFM Alamgir, Governor nominee; Kd. Abdus Salam, chairman of conference committee also spoke on the occasion.
Rupak Jain said, 1.2 million members of Rotary and 2 crore volunteers engaged themselves to serve the people worldwide. He also said, Bangladesh Rotary plays vital role in this field.
Governor Muhammad Ayub said, all problem cannot be solved by Government like Bangladesh as a LDC. Non government organizations playing important role to help the distressed people. He requested all to come forward to build a self defended Bangladesh.
