Rotary Club of Shyamoli, Dhaka organised Tree Plantation Programme at premises of Sadharchar Vocational and Ideal School at Sadharchar union of Shibpur upazila under Narsingdi district on Thursday.
Saplings of different varieties of trees were planted with the help of students teachers and managing committee members of the school.
Rotary Club of Shyamoli started the plantation programme with a view to encouraging the School children in planting and nursing trees to build Green Bangladesh.
President of Rotary Club of Shyamoli Saifuddin Ahmed, former secretary of Bangladesh government and immediate past President of Rotary Club of Shyamoli M Nuruzzaman Bhuiyan, PHF and Rotarian M I H Seraji, PHF were present, at the programme, among others.
After the plantation a discussion emphasising the need to plantation was also held in the school.
