Rotary Club of International has chalked out day-long programmes in the city to celebrate the World Polio Day 2016 yesterday..
The programmes include cycle and motor car rallies with colourful banners and festoons at MA Aziz Statadium Gymnasium premises and an international seminar on ‘Polio Matters’ at Chittagong Club auditorium at 2.30pm, which provides worldwide update on the status of the fight against polio disease.
RI Director Dr Saowalak Rattavich grace the occasion as chief guest, City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin and Media Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister Rtn PP Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury attended it as special guests. International Rotary Club-3282 and 3281 organize the function to create awareness among the people.
Rtn PDG’s Abdul Ahad, Aminuzzaman Bhuiyan, Convenor of Conference Committee Rtn Zinnah Chowdhury, Rtn’s Nasirul Hoque, Mohammad Shahjahan, Reza Karim and Prof Dr Bikiron Prasad Barua, among others, attended the press conference on Sunday.
