Rosy Selim coming with Poncho-Nari Akkhyan again

Popular actress Rosy Selim is returning to her stage roots, bringing back Poncho-Nari Akkhyan to the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy today.
The solo play, written by Harunur Rashid and directed by Shahiduzzaman Selim, will see its 40th staging today.
Rosy Selim, also known as Rosy Siddiqui, has been on the stages of Dhaka for two and a half decades.
Beginning her career with Theatre Arambagh, she joined Dhaka Theatre in 1993 and has performed in their acclaimed plays Hat-Hodai, Bonpangshul, and Dhaboman.
Meanwhile, the veteran actress also has a big screen project to her name: noted Indian director Gautam Ghose’s Shonkhochil. She shot for the film recently, standing in front of Ghose’s camera after 22 years, when she debuted in film with Padma Nodi’r Majhi (1993).
The actress, who first came to limelight with TV serial Jonmobhumi – with her character Bijli – is also currently working on a TV series, Naresh Bhuiyan’s Regey Gelen Toh Herey Gelen.
Rosy Selim acted other mentionable movies were Kazi Hayat’s Love Story, Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Made In Bangladesh, etc.
Meanwhile, Rosy is also acting in two new plays of Dhaka Theatre – one is Humayun Kabir Himu directed Our Country is Good and another is Ehsan’s Aronab Mouri.
However, about one decade Rosy first performed as a model with ATM Shamsuzzaman in a TVC of Enechhi Surjer Hashi directed Gias Uddin Selim.
After 10 years break, she again worked with him in a serial titled Chholey Boley Kowsholey recently.
