RollBall World Cup to be held in Bangladesh

The 4th RollBall World Cup will be held February 17 -24 in the city with the participation of near about seven hundred and fifty participants from 55 countries.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the World Cup as chief guest.
In this regards, a media sub committee’s meeting was held on Sunday at the conference room of the Information Ministry.
Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed presided over the meeting.
Bangladesh for the first time is going to host the mega event after successful hosting of the first and third edition in Pune by India and the second in Nairobi in Kenya.
Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation is going to organize this tournament under the auspicious guideline of chief patron Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal would be acting as chief adviser and federation’s chairman Abul Kalam Azad as chief co-coordinator to successfully host the World Cup.
The main competition will be held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium at Mirpur, Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium and Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex in the city.
The participating players will be accommodated at different sports complexes, federations and krira palli.
The Information secretary expects extensive news coverage during the World Cup from different government and private media houses.
Bangladesh Television Director General ASM Harun Ur- Rashid, Bangladesh Betar Director General AKM Nesar Uddin Bhuiyan, Public Relation Directorate Director General Kamrun Nahar, were among others, present on the occasion.
