Reunion function of South Agrabad Puja Udjapon Parishad in port city held on Friday last. . Vice President of the Mohanagar AL of Chattogram Altaf Hossain chowdhury Bachchu graced the occasion as chief guest.
In the function, free medical camp, along with medicines and free treatment, spectacles, sewing machine and blankets were distributed to the distress people of the society. The chief guest in the function said it is possible to achieve trust of people irrespective of caste and creed and the professionals of all trades.
He further said, Puja Udjapan Parishad used to distribute sewing machines, clothes and the medical herbs & services free of cost every year in the past. He hailed the role of the Puja Parishad towards humanitarian activities in the society.
He also mentioned that religious harmony is most essential for sustaining social peace. He was addressing the reunion function of South Agrabad Puja Udjapon Parishad at Chotapool in the city.
President of the Puja Udjapon Parishad Dr. Anjan Kumar Das presided over it and Civilian Jail Inspector Azizur Rahman Aziz was the principal speaker.
The honoured guests in the reunion are – Councilor of South Agrabad ward Jafrul Haider Sabuj, women councilor Afroza Begum, OC of Double Mooring thana Mohammad Mohsin. Allout cooperation of Adviser Ln. Dr. Narayan Debnath , the eye camp was conducted free of cost with total supervision of Royal community Eye Hospital.
General secretary of Puja Parishad Sree Jhunto Shil conducted the total events of the reunion function, Puja Parishad souces said.
