Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Friday said the government will enlist Rohingya people who entered Bangladesh from Myanmar to give them identity cards.
“Full security will be ensured for Rohingya people,” he told an Eid reunion at Jatiya Press Club (JPC) here.
Greater Dhaka Journalists Forum organized the function with its president and JPC treasurer Kartik Chattarjee in the chair.
Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Secretary General Omar Faruque, JPC Vice-President Azizul Islam Bhuiyan and JPC General Secretary Farida Yasmin, among others, addressed the function while forum’s treasurer Ataur Rahman conducted it.
The minister said the persecution on Rohingya people is a heinous incident in the world civilization.
