The inhuman horrific atrocities and genocide of the Rohingya community of Rakhine, Myanmar by the communal miscreants and the members of army has added a black chapter in the history of mankind. It has been observed that after worldwide condemnation by the people of conscience irrespective of creed; and Human Rights Organizations including world platform UN and OIC, the genocide and ousting of thousands and thousands of helpless minority has not been stopped. Rather, again and again the unimaginable and undocumented violence is occurring in the guise of ensuring ‘peace’! The unarmed people are being annihilated by the army personel. The helpless are victims of mass killing and the women there are being gang-raped, not only by the miscreants but also by the members of army. So-called monks are also in aid of the miscreants, according to Press.
The protesting Islamic world and the OIC have condemned the brutalities and called to stop the ‘crime against humanity’. But the concerned don’t care. This is a matter of surprise that the role of Aung San Suu Kyi, the ‘Nobel Laureatic of Peace,’ has been far from all humanitarian appeal and diplomatic approach. Thus she is ensuring the continuation of the massacre! The Nobel Laureates including some distinguished global citizens tried to stop the barbarism, but the authority in Mayanmar gave a deaf ear to all concerned. So, the beasts in the shape of human beings have been let loose and freely eliminating the minority Muslim ‘citizen’s living in the Arakan for the past centuries. Here the strong role of the superpowers and their regional allies seems to be absent and not being active. The tragedy is also that the Muslim countries are not in a position of unified approach and strong pressure. The Rohingya refugees had been a long-standing problem in Bangladesh. Bangladesh expects a humanitarian and legal solution.
In this tragic background Poet Zakir Abu Zafar has compiled ‘Rohingya Rokter Nodi’ (Rohingya, a river of blood), a Bengali compilation of poems and articles – a chorus of more than two hundred poets and writers condemning the massacre and rape and crying a holt of the barbarism. The poets including the most senior and prominent have contributed and raised their voice. The readers will have a rare experience of observing that the poets of different poles and affiliations are standing in a human chain to cry ‘fie’ to the killers. This chorus and symphony of the voice of conscience of poets and writers of different platforms of national and international position is a sign of our being hopeful against the annihilation of the helpless Rohingya Muslims.

But wherever the source be, it is (and these are) ‘crime against humanity and to be condemned and stopped.
It is a process of complete annihilation of the people of Arakan having their identity as citizens for some centuries. But they are deprived of their legitimate right. Muslim World, and the world of conscience of other communities are not being cared to pay heed to, as they are not united in diplomatic approach or in action. The massacre and oppression could be stopped only then and the country with its leaders with Nobel would come to senses.
The book has been dedicated for the oppressed people of the world.
