Mohammad Ali Robin emerged as the champion in the Men’s Division of the Sammer Heat Open Carrom Competition beating Mohammad Ashraful Islam by 2-1 sets in the final at the training room of Bangladesh Carrom Federation on Saturday.
Sabina Akter of Eden College became champion in the Women’s Division defeating Farhan Nasrin Lipi in the final at the same venue on the same day.
Bangladesh Carrom Federation arranged the three-day long carcom meet.
Professor of Mass Communication & Journalism Department of Dhaka University Dr Sheikh Abdus Salam and Senior News Editor of Desh TV Mahmudul Hasan Shamim were chief guests on the opening day (July 28).
General Secretary of Bangladesh Carrom Federation and Treasurer of International Carrom Federation Ashraf Ahmed Lion distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest on the concluding day (July 30).
