Robi launches `Odommo Jersey Design Contest`

Millions of cricket fans of the country considers the National Cricket team jersey as the symbol of love and passion for the game, as the national team is on a purple patch.Against this backdrop, cricket fans from all corners of the country will get a rare opportunity to demonstrate their love for the much revered game by taking part in a competition titled “Odommo Jersey Design Contest,” said a press release on Sunday. The jersey design contest will be organized by one of the leading mobile phone operators of the country and the proud sponsor of the national cricket team — Robi in partnership with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Channel I will be the media partner of the design contest. This was revealed at a press conference held today at the Home of Cricket in Mirpur.Robi’s Chief Operating Officer Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, BCB’s Chairman for Marketing and Commercial Committee Kazi Inam Ahmed and Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director of Channel I were present at the press conference held Sunday. At the press conference, it was announced that any interested contestant can submit their jersey design from August 17-31 to take part in the competition.During this period, Robi and BCB will organize a number of on-campus promotional activities in the country’s major fashion institutes to shore up support for this unique contest located across the country. Students of these institutes can submit their design during the on-campus activities.Besides, one can also submit their jersey designs by sending an email to [email protected]. In addition, anyone can also upload their designs by visiting www.wearetigers.com.bd to take part in this contest.The jersey designs received during the submission phase will then be shortlisted by the judges’ panel. The judges’ panel will comprise of BCB officials, cricketers, renowned artist, fashion designer and fashion icons.Following the short listing process led by the Judges panel, a total of 11 jersey designs will be selected. These selected 11 designs will then be advertised by Robi along with the design codes assigned to them. While promoting the selected designs, public voting will be requested to determine the winning designs. Public voting will be invited through SMS and online platform.
