The countrywide fast bowler hunt, jointly initiated by Robi and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), came to an end on Monday at Khan Saheb Osmani Stadium in Fatullah, Narayanganj amid huge enthusiasm and adulation from the young fast bowlers.
Throughout the entire programme, the enthusiasm of the young male and female fast bowlers was a source of inspiration.
From a large contingent of 1,250 contenders at Fatullah, a total of 869 were declared eligible to take part in the trial event. Following the closely scrutinized trial run, only seven male fast bowlers were selected. The fastest ball recorded at Fatullah was 134 Kmph which also happens to be the fastest ball recorded in the entire fast bowler hunt program.
Earlier, the fast bowler hunt events were held in Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Comilla, Cox’s Bazar, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Barisal, Jessore, Khulna, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Bogra, Rangpur.
