Robi expands its management council

With a vision to prepare the organization for the ensuing digital transformation, Robi has announced a new organization structure. As part of the restructuring, the company has expanded its Management Council (MC) by including five strategic focus roles, said a media release.
Ruhul Amin, currently Deputy CFO, Muhammad Shahedul Alam, Executive Vice-President (EVP), Regulatory Affairs, Asif Naimur Rashid, EVP, IT and Charging and Md. Adil Hossain, EVP, Enterprise Business have been appointed as Head of Corporate Strategy, Head of Regulatory Affairs, Head of IT and Head of Enterprise Business respectively.
They will all be reporting to Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of the Company. The appointments will be effective from today. Appointment of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Enterprise Programme Management Office (EPMO) divisional Head will be announced at a later date.
Commenting on this Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said: “We believe that the change would allow us to serve our customers better in the upcoming digital era. In this connection, the inclusion of the young Turks in the decision-making process will certainly help in further increasing our speed to market as part of our digital transformation journey.”
He further added that “the new members of the MC have been groomed to help them move to the leadership roles so that they could take on broader responsibility in years to come.”
