A suspected robber was killed in a lynch-mob attack while preparing for committing a robbery at Barun village in Kapasia upazila early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Motaleb of Chamurki village in the upazila.
Police said the inmates of a house started screaming seeking help seeing some bandits preparing to commit a robbery at the dead of night.
Hearing their screams, fellow-villagers rushed in and caught one of the robbers, Motaleb, after a hot chase.
