An unidentified robber was killed in a “gunfight” between two groups of robbers on Jashore-Magura road in Nongarpur area in Sadar upazila of Jashore district on yesterday (Tuesday) early.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Samir Kumar Sarker, officer-in-charge of jashore Kotwali Police Station claimed that they heard the sound of exchanging fire at Nongarpur area around 3:30am.
Instantly, a police team rushed to the spot and found the body of unidentified lying beside the road in the area. The rescued robber was taken to Jashore general hospital where’s the doctors declared him dead. said the OC.
