Chittagong district police arrested an alleged robber from city’s Chandgaon area on Saturday night.
The arrested person was identified as Abdus Samad, hailed from Raichhata village under Banshkhali upazila of the district.
Acting on secret information, a team of Banskhali police apprehended him from the said area around 11.30pm last night, said Swapon Kumar Majumdar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Banshkhali police station. Samad was wanted in many robbery cases and sent to the court, the OC added.
