Police arrested an alleged robber with a firearm in Chittagong city’s Purabi Cinema Hall area recently.
Abu Bakkar Siddique, 41, along with other members of a gang was preparing to commit a robbery, said Officer-in-Charge Mohammed Mohsin of Kotwali Police Station.
A light gun (LG), a cartridge and a machete were seized from his possession, said the OC, adding that other gang members managed to flee.
