A female readymade garment worker (RMG) was allegedly strangulated to death by his husband at their rented house in Ashulia area on the outskirts of Dhaka on Saturday morning.
Police recovered the deceased body from the spot.
The deceased was identified as Laboni Akhter, 30, from Sadar upazila of Madaripur.
Mohammad Nurul Huda, Sub-Inspector of Ashulia Police Station, told the media that police sent the body to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital morgue for autopsy. Injury mark was found in the neck of the body.
But the accused husband fled the scene after the incident, SI added.
