RMG worker killed

A Readymade Garments (RMG) worker was killed and another injured in a road accident in front of Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ), thana on Friday afternoon.
 The victim was identified as Imran Howlader, 20, son of Barak Sardar, hailing from Bandartilla area. He was a worker of Universal Jeans Factory, at CEPZ. The injured worker is Mohammad Yousuf, 20, also a worker of Universal Jeans Factory at CEPZ.
Yousuf is undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), but his condition is stated to critical, hospital sources said.
Nayak Jahangir Alam, of CMCH police outpost said the a speeding truck hit and smashed a bicycle by which the victims were coming from their work place to go to their residence.
The two youths were critically injured at about 2-30pm on Friday.
 Later, the injured were rushed to CMCH but the attending doctors declared Imran dead.
The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue for autopsy, sources said. A case filed with CEPZ thana in this connection.
