Chittagong Metropolitan Police rounded up three persons for allegedly accused for selling the imported garments accessories in open market.
Baizid thana police recovered this garments accessories laded in a covered van worth about Tk.50 lakh from Solasahar Ruby gate area yesterday morning. The detained persons identified as Md.Rashed, Md. Faruk and covered van driver Md Yasin.
Baizid thana Officer incharge Md. Mohsin told that Scissors Textile named one garments factory imported this garments raw material from abroad under bond facilities but without using these garments materials in their factory aimed at selling out in open market in Terribazar cloth wholesale market in city were being transported .
The detained persons did not present any valid documents in support of the consignment . After physical inventory of the covered van laden RMG materials, 118 cloth rolls were detected and the present market price of the seized cloths not less thanTk.50 lakh sources said. The covered van and the seized materials now under thana police custocy, sources said.
