A court in Chittagong granted two days remand to railway security in-charge Mesbah for alleged involved with snatching of gold bars in Chittagong . Senior Judicial magistrate Mahmudul Hasan granted two days remand after hearing the petition of the state counsel but the police prayed for 7 days remand .
Mentionable that Railway Police(GRP) rounded up one member of Railway service service(RNB) Md. Mesbah for alleged involvement with looting of 200 tolas of gold impersonating as DB police on Monday last.
 Mesbah is the incharge of security camp of Pahartali Railway station , sources said.
A case in connection accusing Mesbah as mastermind of gold looting lodged with the GRP thana in city by the employee of Bishwa Karma Jewellery Palas Nandi as plaintiff. Three security men were also accused in the case, GRP sources said. Officer Inchasrge of GRP thana Himashu Das confirmed the filing of a case in connection.
GRP police sources said two security personnel ofRNB searched the baggage of two passengers waiting in Pahartali station for a Dhaka bound train impersonating themselves as DB security men and took away the gold from their possession. Later , these gold carrying persons were brought to Incharge Mesbah at station security camp and escaped quickly from the camp with lame excuse of hiring a transport.
In evening hour, GRP police rounded up Mesbah for alleged involvement with the looting of gold from his camp premises, sources said.
