Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Tournament: Rishabh, Wanyi emerge boys’, girls’ singles champions

Rishabh Sharda of India and Wanyi Zhang of China clinched the boys’ singles and girls’ singles titles respectively of the Islami Bank 31st Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Tournament that concluded at the Ramna National Tennis Complex here on Saturday.
Rishabh Sharda of India clinched the boys’ singles crown beating his compatriot Karan Srivastava of India by 6-0, 6-1 games while Wanyi Zhang of China lifted girls singles title defeating Riddhi Ramesh Sharma of India by 6-3, 6-0 games in the finals.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs and President of Bangladesh Tennis Federation M Shahriar Alam witnessed the day’s final as chief guest and later distributed prizes among the winners.
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy was also present as special guest.
In the doubles, Kevin Patel pairing with Aaryan Zaver clinched the boys’ doubles crown beating Aman K Patel and Jaishvin Sidana 6-1, 6-1 while Banerjee partnering with Rachapudi won the girls’ doubles title defeating Ramesh Sharma and Saik 7-6, 6-2 in all Indian finals on Saturday.
A total of 68 boys and 38 girls from 17 countries took part in the meet.
