Country’s maximum number of composer of jingles, which is used in TVCs as songs, of the country and music director Ripon Khan is now busy with works for a movie. He has been engaged with background music, playback songs and sound effects of some movies now. He has already finished works of Saiful Islam Mannu’s movie ‘Payer Chhap’ and Shahid Raihan’s ‘Monoloke.’
Therefore, Ripon Khan is also doing work for another movie of Saiful Islam Mannu. Ripon Khan has worked as music director of original tracks of two songs of this movie. Khairul Wasi has lent his voice for one of these two songs.
Ripon Khan first worked as a music director in late Saidul Anam Tutul directed movie ‘Adhiyar.’ Later, he also worked in some other movies. Besides jingles, he has been concentrated to make arrangement for the new generation’s singers to lend their voices for original tracks.
In 1986, Ripon Khan for the first time composed a jingle track titled ‘Donto Sonoskar Boroi Chomotkar.’ Iffat Ara Nargis lent her voice in Ripon Khan composed this jingle. From that time to till date, he has done more than 2,000 jingles. Among those, his mentionable composed jingles are: ‘Ole Ole Bappa,’ ‘Porechhi Kopale Tip Angty Anamika,’ ‘Ogo Sunkonnya – Janoki Tumi Jano Ki – Tumi Aamar Swapne Dekha Rajkonnya,’ ‘Ei Misti Misti Apolok Drishti – Aporup Sundor Lagchhe – Ei Moner Gobhire Jar Chhobi Anka Achhe – Sei Sundor Chokhe Bhashchhe’ and many more.
While asking him what achievements in one life are, Ripon Khan replied to this correspondent, “In fact, there is no state recognition in that works which I am doing with my loves. However, now I am giving music direction more. I know there is recognition of playback songs. I believe I remain hundred percent honest in my works and one day I will surely get the state recognition for my works. But those people evaluate and love me who are informed about my activities and me.” It is a great achievement for me and also likeable to me. Everybody prays for me as I can remain well.”
Ripon Khan also said that under his composed jingles, Sumona Haque, Reshad and Anima D’Costa lent their voices for the maximum times.
It is mentioned that popular singer and music composer of present generation, Hridoy Khan is the son of Ripon Khan.
