Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Tuesday arrested three members of a drug smuggling racket in the city’s Mirpur area and seized a huge amount of drugs from their possession.
Mir Manjur Rashid alias Sunny from Joypurhat, Md Mahmudul Hasan alias Chayan from Lalmonirhat and Md Habibullah from Sirajganj were arrested from Eastern Housing area of Rupnagar in Mirpur, Mufti Mahmud Khan, Legal and Media Wing Director of RAB-1 said.
hearing the stay petitions filed by the BNP leader.
Proceedings of the cases would remain suspended till disposal of the rule, Fakhrul’s lawyer Sagir Hossain Leon said.
Advocate Zainul Abedin and Advocate Sagir Hossain Leon took part in the hearing on behalf of Mirza Fakhrul. Deputy Attorney General Sheikh Moniruzzaman Kabir stood for the State.
