State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder on Monday urged rich people to share the joy of Eid with poor and helpless people.
“Regarding the Eid, instructions have been given in the holy Quran and Hadith to help the poor and helpless. The joy of Eid becomes complete when the hand of cooperation is extended to needy people,” he said. The State Minister for industries said this while distributing Eid gifts among the poor on the premises of Haji Ali Hossain High School at Mirpur area in the city, according to a press release.
Kamal Mojumder said the government is working relentlessly to tackle the coronavirus situation. “In addition to expanding medical facilities, humanitarian assistance activities have also been intensified across the country to ensure food for the helpless,” he added. The State Minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given cash assistance directly to the jobless poor through mobile banking.
