Pop star Katy Perry has become the first female artist with two RIAA Digital Diamond Awards thanks to her massive hits ‘Fireworks’ and ‘Dark Horse’. The songs appear on Perry’s Teenage Dream and Prism albums respectively. They went diamond after each of their sales surpassed the 10 million mark in the U.S. Diamonds are a pop star’s best friend. Katy Perry has officially become the first female artist to earn two Digital Diamond Awards from the Recording Industry Association of America, marking sales and streams of more than 10 million. Katy’s two hit singles, “Firework” and “Dark Horse,” each surpassed that milestone.
