Noted Tagore artiste Rezwana Choudhury Bannya has tested positive for Coronavirus.
The 63 years old singer confirmed she is doing quite well now. Her blood sample was collected 12 days ago. She will test for the virus again after two days. She hopes this time the result will confirm she is no longer carrying the virus.
The celebrated Tagore artiste is currently Professor and founding Chairman of the Department of Dance at the University of Dhaka. A graduate of Chhayanaut and Rabindranath Tagore’s Visva-Bharati University at Shantiniketon, she founded her own music school Shurer Dhara in 1992. Bannya won the Ekushey Padak, the highest civilian award in Bangladesh, in 2016.
