Review of laws needed to stop child marriage, gender violence

The government is thinking takes seriously to review some its domestic laws to prevent, investigate, prosecute and punish those responsible the weakest part of society. Multi-Sectoral investigations as well as multi-stokehold less ‘ engagement is required to fight gender based violence, occurrence of child marriage and domestic violence increased due to COVID-19 pandemic.
District Administration in Kishoreganj including Women Affairs Department arranged an view exchange meeting on stop violence against women, child and child marriage held at local Collectorate Conference Room on Sunday.
DC in Kishoreganj Mohammad Shamim Alam attended as Chief Guest while ADM Farzana Khanam presided over. District Legal Officer and Senior Assistant Judge Sadia Afsana Rima, DCS Dr. Mostafizur Rahman and ADC(Edu and ICT) Golam Mostafa were attended as special guests.
