Return hajj flights from today

The return Hajj flights will start from today to bring back the Bangladeshi pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines General Manager (PR) Shakil Meraj said it to a group of journalists on Sunday.
He said that the first return Hajj flight of the state-run carrier is scheduled to land at Shahjalal International Airport at 10:10 pm with 419 pilgrims. He said, “The airlines will operate flights till September 26 to carry the pilgrims back to the country.”
This year, a total of 1,27,198 Bangladeshi pilgrims went to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
Among them 7,198 were under government management and 1,20,000 pilgrims under private management.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 133 flights from Dhaka, 15 from Chattogram and four flights from Sylhet this year. This is the first time that Biman Bangladesh directly operates Hajj flights from Chattogram.
