Felani killing: Retrial of case adjourned for three days

The retrial of Felani killing case has been adjourned for three days, said Lieutenant Colonel Mofazzal Hossain Akhand, Director of Kurigram 45 BGB Battalion, on Friday, quoting Commandant VP Badla on behalf of 181 BSF Battalion.
So, Felani’s father, who wanted to start for India at 10 am on Friday for the Indian district of Coochbihar to give witness in the Felani killing retrial case, broke his journey since the case was adjourned.

The Indian BSF did not call Felani’s maternal uncle. When they reached Barabari in Bangladesh’s Lalmonirhat district, Commandant VP Badla on behalf of 181 BSF Battalion informed over mobile phone that the retrial of the Felani killing case had been adjourned for three days.
So, they returned to Kurigram, Director of Kurigram 45 BGB Battalion Mozaffar Hossain Akhand informed. Earlier a vehicle of BGB carried Felani’s father Nurul Islam from Nageswari upazila to Kurigram BGB headquarter at 9am on Friday.
Director of 45 BGB Battalion said, in a fax message at 10.30 pm on Thursday, Commandant of 181 BSF Battalion VP Badla requested us to send the Felani’s father. It is mentioned here that retrial of Felani killing began in General Security Force Court in BSF sector headquarters of Coochbihar district of West Bengal, India on Monday last.
