Staff Reporter :
The results of the MBBS admission test were published on Monday.
Director General of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad announced the results.
The DG said that 29,183 candidates had passed the examination, which means they were able to obtain the minimum number of 40 out of the 100 set in the Mutiple Choice Question (MCQ) test
The highest score is 85.5. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the examination score and the combined GPA from the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.
“The result has been uploaded to the website of the DGHS and the examinees can instantly check their results,” DG of DGHS said.
The results are available at http://result.dghs.gov.bd/.
Over 90,000 candidates sat for the MBBS admission tests held on October 7 against 11,264 seats in all public and private medical and dental colleges across the country.
The admission process will begin from October 20 and continue till October 31.
“This year we have got the answer sheets checked by two independent groups – one of Dhaka University (DU) and the other of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST),” Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad said.
There is no chance of inaccuracy in the results, he added.
The images of the answer sheets have also been recorded in computer systems for the first time. Anyone complaining about results can easily have a chance to see their answer sheets checked, as authorities would not need to search for manual files, he said. There are 3,212 seats at 30 public medical colleges and 6,205 at 64 private medical colleges.
