Restriction on vehicular movement today

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed restrictions on vehicular movement on some specific roads and areas in the capital and its outskirts Savar on the occasion of the celebration of the Independence Day.
The DMP authorities in separate directives on Tuesday also asked the members of the public to opt for different roads and areas in the capital so that the President, the Prime Minister and other VIPs could move smoothly on the selected streets.
Restriction has been given on the road from Aminbazar to Nobinagar from 4:00am to 11am so that the President, Prime Minister, the diplomats and other VVIPs and VIPs can go to the National Mausoleum at Savar to pay homage to the martyrs. During the period, the members of the public have been asked to use the roads via Ashulia, Uttara and Tongi.
In another directive, the members of the public will have no access to the streets surrounding the Bangabhaban so that the diplomats could call on the President at the Bangabhaban from 12:00 Noon today (March 26).
The streets include Zero Point to Rajuk intersection via Gulistan underpass, Sergeant Ahad Police Outpost to Rajuk Crossing via Ittefaq intersection, Alico and Dilkhusha.
Besides, for the grand programme of ‘Lakho Konthe Sonar Bangla’ at Tejgaon National Parade Ground, transports will have no admission to the roads surrounding the parade ground and its adjacent areas from 5:30am to until the conclusion thereof.
