A mobile court on Thursday fined two sweetmeat shops and a restaurant in Kotwali and station road areas Tk two lakh for selling adulterated and stale items.
Executive Magistrate Ruhul Amin led the mobile court to Kotwali Moor under Kotwali thana and fined Sadhu Misti Bhander TK 50 thousand, Doyamoie Sweets at Nondon Kanon TK one Lakh and Nezam Hotel and restaurant at station road TK 50 thousand.
The shops were fined for producing adulterated food items, selling
decomposed sweets and foods in unhygienic condition said the Executive Magistrate.
