`Resolving enclave issue by BD-India a glaring example`

City Desk :High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran said resolving of the enclave issue by Bangladesh and India has become a unique and glaring example for the whole world. He said this yesterday while launching distribution of temporary travel-cum-identity passes to people of the erstwhile Indian enclaves in Bangladesh, who opted for becoming Indian citizens, at a camp arranged at Debiganj Upazila Rest House in Panchagarh district. With this, distribution of temporary travel-cum-identity passes among the people of 11 erstwhile 111 Indian enclaves in Bangladesh in Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat and Kurigram districts began from yesterday. Assistant High Commissioner of India Sandip Mitra stationed at Rajshahi, First Secretary of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka Ramakanta Gupta, Additional District Magistrate of Panchagarh Mohammad Golam Azam, Debiganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shafiqul Islam and concerned officials on both countries were present.Officials in the camp informed that these temporary travel-cum-identity pass holders can use Chilahati-Haldibari, Sahebganj-Bag Bandar and Burimari-Chengrabandha check post for their both-way movements to go to India permanently by November 30 next.The Indian government will bear all expenditure for travelling of the erstwhile Indian enclave people in groups and carrying their luggage to India permanently by November 30 next.The officials also requested the concerned the erstwhile Indian enclave people for completing their transaction of money after swelling of the permanent and other properties within the stipulated time frame. While addressing the occasion, Pankaj Saran congratulated the new Indian citizens and said that the Indian government, people and Koch Bihar (Cooch Behar) district administration have been remaining ready and eagerly waiting to welcome them on Indian soil.
