The Center for Research and Development (GUCRD) of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) has organised a Research Grants & Certificate Giving Ceremony recently on the university campus.
The objective of this programme was to distribute certificates to the faculty members who have successfully completed the Advanced Research Methodology (ARM) course and to provide grants to the faculty researchers, who are going to start new research projects. A total of 15 participants of ARM course were awarded certificates and a total of 8 research projects were granted for required financial support. Green University of Bangladesh provided about Tk. 4 lakh to the respective researchers. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mohabbat Khan, Member of University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh was the chief guest in this ceremony. Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice-Chancellor of GUB was the president and Dr. Syed Shahadat Hossain, Advisor of GUCRD and Professor of University of Dhaka was the special guest in this event. Lt. Col. Md. Ali Ambial Haque Khan (Retd.), Registrar of GUB and Prof. Dr. Muhibul Haque Bhuiyan, Chairman, Department of EEE of GUB graced the occasion as the guests of honor. Chairmen and faculty members of different departments of GUB were also present in the ceremony.
At the end of the program, the certificates were distributed to the participants and research grants were provided to the researchers. Finally, the ceremony ended with the inspirational speech by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir.
