Forces of Bangladesh Navy and coast guards in chittagong conducted rescue operations to rescue the drowned student of Chittagong Engineering University at coastal Bay near sitakunda coast yesterday.
CUET student Md. Nakim was flown away with ebb tide of the sea near Sitakunda beach of chittagong. Nakim came to sitakunda in a e xcursion tour from Comilla. ,The victim is the son of one Prof. Shafiqul islam of Comilla district and student of 4th year in civil engineering of CUET.
Sitakunda thana police sources said Nakim and 7/8 accomplices went to Guliakhali beach of sitakuna for enjoying the bath in the beach and suddenly flown away by high current of ebb tide.
Fire brigadecould not trace him and hence Navy-Coast guard jointly conducting operations. Sources said two female touirists were also rescued from the sea water by the help of local fishermen, police sources said.
