The renovated and modernized computer laboratory of Information Science and Library Management (ISLM) department of Dhaka University (DU) was inaugurated at a function on the campus .
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Arefin Siddique inaugurated the laboratory recently as the chief guest while Dean of Arts faculty Professor Dr Begum Akhter Kamal, Managing Director of Southeast Bank Ltd Sahid Hossain and Additional Managing Director of the Bank Muhammad Shahjahan addressed the function as special guests.
Chairman of the department Muhammad Mezbah-ul-Islam, Ph.D. presided over the function, said a university press release.
The laboratory was repaired with the financial assistance of the Southeast Bank Ltd.
The VC thanked the Bank for reinforcing such development activities in Dhaka University and hoped that others institutions also will come forward with cooperative hands in future to participate in development activities of the university, the release added.
