Remittance inflows surged to a new record of $15.309 billion in the 2014-15 fiscal.
“The remittance income has experienced a 7.6 percent growth (an increase by $1.081 billion) against the previous fiscal of 2013-14 which earned $14.228 billion,” said a Bangladesh Bank statement.
Previously, the national record for highest remittance received in a single fiscal was $14.461 billion, which came in 2012-13. The country earned $1.431 billion in June 2015, which was 11.27 percent higher compared with the earning in June 2014.
