Centring the religious feuds o f muslims , atleast 30 religious devouts including six policemen were injured on Tuesday evening at Santirhat area under Patiya upazila .
Local eye witness sources said the clash broke out between the sect known as Sunni and Wahabi.In the clash , atleast 30 persons including 6 police members were injured and two reported bullet injured. Patiya thana Officer incharge Md. Neyamatullah told that the situation under control of police and to disperse the agitated supporters , police hurled bullets . Police sources said during publicity of mahfil belong to Wahabi sect , the supporters of sunni group under the banner of Imame Azam conference resisted the publicity of Wahabi group caused spardic clash in between them.
Eye witnesses sources said during clash hour, the transport movement on Chittagong- Cox’sBazar highway remained suspended for few time but following the interference of police, the situation became normal .The injured persons were given treatment in local health complex and private clinics sources said.
