Although the prices of winter vegetables are within the purchasing power, the prices of fish and meat have gone up in the Chattogram kitchen market.
Besides, prices of edible oil and rice have also gone up simultaneously.
During visit in Reazuddin Bazar and Chawkbazar in the city , cauliflower and cabbage were selling at Tk 20-25 , small kachu at Tk 30-40, carrots at Tk 30 , green chilli at Tk 80.
In the fish market, tilapia is being sold at Tk 140 per kg, Catla at Tk 250, Rui at Tk 200-240, Loita at Tk 120, Kachki at Tk 250, Rupchanda at Tk 300-500, Shing at Tk 550, Koi at Tk 500, Poya at Tk 250, Hilsa at Tk 800, Pangas at Tk 120-140, Coral at Tk 500, Pabda at Tk 450, Shrimp Tk 350-450 depending on the size,
In the meat market, beef with bones is being sold at Tk 550 per kg and meat without bones at Tk 650, mutton at Tk 800, broiler chicken at Tk 130, layer at Tk 200 and golden species at Tk 200 per kg.
Soybean oil is being sold at TK 110 per liter, bottled pack at TK 110-120.
