Border Guard Bangladesh(BGB) has issued red alert on Benapole frontier to check smuggling of rawhide into India.
The frontier force also circulated publicity along the border, said Lt Col Jahangir Hossain, commanding officer, 26 Border Guard Battalion.
Talking to newsmen Lt Col Jahangir Hossain said, the BGB men were on red alert along Benapole frontier as the border was thought to be vulnerable to smuggling of rawhide. ‘The red alert will be continued until the threat of rawhide smuggling exists’, he said.
