Bean Burger
Ingredients:
2 cups of mashed boiled beans
½ cups of Wheat Germs
2/3 cup ground Sunflower Seeds
¼ cup chopped Onion
½ tsp Chilli Powder
2 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Oil
8 Burger Buns
2 tbsp Mayonnaise
4 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
Method:
Combine beans, germs, sunflower seeds, onion, chilli powder and salt together. Mix properly using fingers to combine uniformly.
Shape into 8 patties. Spread oil in a baking sheet. Arrange patties over it and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes.
Slice the burger buns in 2 halves. Spread with mayonnaise and ketchup on each burger half.
Place the patties between two halves and put them in broiler to heat.
The dish is ready to be served.
Vegetable Chowmein
Ingredients:
400 gms of fresh noodles
5 cups of water
1 tsp salt (as per taste)
1 tbsp of cooking oil for noodles
Garlic paste
Chilli powder
1 cup of cooked thinly sliced vegetables
1 large onion-thinly sliced
1 tsp of soya sauce
2 tbsp of chopped celery
Vinegar
Chilli sauce
Method:
Firstly, start with boiling the water and add salt to it. Put the noodles and cook until they are soft. Continue cooking for a while if the noodles look dry.
Drain the noodles immediately and cool under running water till they are cooled.
Put 1 tbsp of oil into the noodles and leave in the colander till required.
Meanwhile, heat the rest of the oil and stir- fry garlic mixture and onions.
Add the vegetables and stir to mix well. Add the soya sauce, salt, celery, vinegar and chilli sauce. Mix well and add the noodles and stir- fry till well mixed. Do all this over high heat. Your dish is ready to be served.
Yoghurt Fruit Salad
Ingredients:
16 ounces thick and creamy key lime pie yogurt
2 table spoons orange juice
2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
1 cup strawberry halves
2 cups green grapes
1 cup blueberries
2 cups cubed cantaloupe
¼ cup flaked or shredded coconut, toasted
Procedure:
Mix yoghurt and orange juice; set aside.
In 2 1/2-quart clear glass bowl, layer fruit in order listed.
Pour yoghurt mixture over fruit. Sprinkle with coconut. Serve immediately.
