Narsingdi Correspondent :District Administration and Department of Women Affairs has accorded reception to the five genius women of the district who were selected as Joyeetas by the district selection committee recently.The government has taken programme `searching of Joyeetas in Bangladesh’ (It is the attempt to government to respect the women who after long struggling successful in life in the different fields) Joyeeta means the women who understood the need for self developmint and after long struggle wining in life. The reception was held in a function at local Shilpakala Academy here on Thursday with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Suriaya Begum in the chair).Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi Obaidul Azam attended the function as chief guest. He termed the Joyeetas, the assets of our country.District women Affairs officer Omha Mahamuda khanum delivered the welcome speech. She said as per government instruction searching Joyeeta in Bangladesh, the district selection committees selected the five women in five categories as Joyeetas who make themselves as worthy women in different fields in the district by honesty sincerity, devotion hard work and moral courage.The five Joyeetas are : Sofura Begum (45) (category economic successful women) daughter of late Abul Hasen Mirdha of village Chinishpur under Sadar upazila of the district, Education qualification- HSC, Profession- business, no child.Sjofura was divested periodically when her husband left her for dowry after five month of her marriage. Her father was very poor, but the then 16 years old girl was more courage and in a few month she established herself by dint of merit and power.
