Citizen’s wishes can’t be ignored

We are feeling deeply upset by the news that police used tear shells, water cannons and batons on the activists of anti-Rampal power plant in which 20 activists were injured. It happened on January 26 when the protesters were marching towards Shahbagh from the Dhaka University.
How unfortunate, it is not a political movement. It is the people’s movement to save their precious heritage, worlds largest mangrove forest, Sunderbans.
If the forest is ruined, it’s harmful effects would be devastating. It is unbelievable that the government is ignoring people’s rightful demand which is beneficial for the country.
They should have been praised for their concern but instead they are being persecuted.
It is not the right attitude. The country belongs to the people so their wish must be fulfilled.
