Where is Dhaka Wanderers Club?
Once Dhaka Football League’s traditional power Dhaka Wanderers Club is heard no more. We do not know why did this club, which captured Dhaka Senior Division Football League title six times, disappear from football scenario although the tent of the club still exists at Arambagh. The last time they became champions was in 1960.
In the Aga Khan Gold Cup Football tournament, they became runners-up in 1963 having lost to PW Railways from Lahore. The team has a good past record. But, that is now story of the gone days.
We request the club management to work to revive the club for the sake of soccer.
