President-elect Donald Trump in his election campaign used to say that he will make America great again. But we think America is already great because there are people like Rahm Emanuel, mayor of Chicago, New York mayor Bill de Blasso and mayors of several major US cities, also US Jewish rights leader Greenblatt.
Chicago mayor said to the immigrants,” You are safe, you are secure and you are supported in the city of Chicago”.
New York mayor Bill de Blasio threatens to sue the US government if Muslims are forced to sign up to ‘registry’. “We will use all the tools at our disposal to stand up for our people” he said,” If all Muslims are required to register, we will take legal action to block it”.
Jewish rights leader Greenblatt said that he would register as a Muslim if Donald Trump establishes a database of Muslims in America.
It is heartening and we are feeling relieved by the words of these wise and kind people. We hope and trust that America will always remain great and take the right steps to bring peace in the world.
