How to restore discipline on roads?
We have some suggestions to restore discipline on roads and highways. These are, 1) The Traffic Department of Police shall be an independent department under a director general, not below the rank of IGP 2) Its officers and constables shall be recruited directly by the PSC, 3) Auto-traffic signal must be restored to end whimsical manual system, which makes a man despotic, 4) The officers and constables must be adequately trained, both theory and field, 5) their salaries shall be sufficient to meet needs, 6) Any one who has no knowledge about traffic rules should not be posted, and 7) drivers, regardless of their postings must be punished through court.
Will the government consider out suggestions?
