It’s really shocking
When the elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) was formed we were elated and heaved a sigh of relief because they seemed very capable to contain crimes and become trustworthy. In their black outfit they looked impressive, friends to the innocent and formidable to the criminals. People used to look upon them with admiration and whenever they saw a RAB personnel they used to wave with delight.But the incident at Narayanganj jolted us to the core, it shattered the image of the RAB. Recently we used to hear about some misdeeds committed by the RAB which are disappointing but those are insignificant compared to the Narayanganj incident., which is ghoulish. We learned that thee RAB officials were dismissed on specific allegations. The three RAB 11 Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Tarque Sayeed Muhammad is the son-in-law and nephew of the disaster management and relief minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya.We demand that a proper investigation be carried out and the RAB personnel guilty of such a heinous crime to be given the ultimate punishment. Crimes committed by law-enforcing agents are unforgivable, they must face justice without delay.Nur JahanChittagong
